But it isn't all about money, is it? While each of these men is very much an
individualist, it is undeniable that they all have certain things in common. With the
exception of one heir to a family fortune, all our other host members are self-made
successes. In order to achieve the exceptional success that they have, each one has
learned far better than most other men how some niche in the world works. While their
personalities run the gamut from conservative to zany and their lifestyles run from
ritualized to spectacularly adventurous, they are all bright, they are all unusually
creative in the mileux of their specialty, and they all have an intensity, each in his own
way, that makes them interesting and engaging to be around. They all work hard, have busy
schedules and dislike bars and large functions as ineffective ways to meet high calibre
women which is the raison d'etre for Aunt Eleanor's. |

"If I merely need to hire a secretary," says one host member, "I run
advertisements specifying what I want and I scrutinize their resumes. We give them written
tests for skills and personality traits, we run a background check, a credit report and
get their college transcripts. She'll go through multiple interviews with myself and my
staff and we'll check her prior work references before she ever gets hired. But when it
comes to looking for a lifetime mate, it's all so haphazard, so hit and miss. We let
ourselves get bounced around by chance, like the steel ball in a pinball machine."
Thus Aunt Eleanor's Introductions came into being . It is an attempt by
bright, successful men who are highly competent at managing their business lives to focus
the same systematic determination toward finding, for each of them, that one, special
person with whom magic is ignited into a relationship that never burns out.
